The land surrounding the vocation house is a harmonious blend of cultivated greenery and untouched wilderness, giving visitors and trainees a sense of peaceful isolation from the hustle of daily life. Rice paddies might stretch out in one direction, while tropical fruit trees like bananas, mangoes, and papayas line the path leading to the house.
Design of the Vocation House:
This concrete structure is an intentional blend of modern architecture and local Cambodian design. The exterior of the house is sleek and minimalist, with smooth concrete walls that have a slightly warm, weathered appearance from the elements, giving it a rustic yet contemporary feel. The concrete is finished with eco-friendly materials, perhaps lime plaster, to ensure it integrates well with the environment, while still offering durability and protection from the humidity of the region.
